My Inspiration

I love the colour and texture of the various beads I use in my designs. I especially like the warmth of silver and the sheen of a rainbow pearl. The heft of semi-precious stones, the sparkle of Swarovski crystal and crackle glass and the clink-clink of beads tumbling together make me giddy. I’m inspired by the smiles of women as they try on my jewellery.

Most of my jewellery designs are not for the “Faint of Heart”. I can and do make lighter, smaller, soft and very feminine pieces, and I’m always happy to create such a design for a client. However I adore big, bold, colourful, chunky “in your face” designs that work so well on strong, confident women who love to re-invent their appearance. My “sensational” pieces are long and eye-catching, sometimes asymmetrical and frivolous, but always fun to wear.

Toss in some Swarovski and rock crystal and eye-catching sterling silver chain for the “bling” factor and round out the mix with Mother-of-Pearl pearls and semi precious stones. Aha - now we have the ingredients to satisfy the jewellery Diva within!

I’m not suggesting that you toss out your fine jewellery and embrace a whole new look, but I do advocate being open to adding a new dimension to your jewellery collection. Jewellery is “wearable art” and art is always open to interpretation - so keep ‘em guessing, be unpredictable and spice up your jewellery wardrobe with a unique piece from Designs By Pin!
